Affordable before, after school and holiday childcare in a caring and fun environment at Brookburn Primary School!
BOSH (Best for Out of School Hours) was established 12 years ago to provide before and after-school childcare at Brookburn School, where our own children were pupils. Our successful team is still doing that and over the last 2 years we have extended our services to William Hulme’s Grammar School (WHOSH), Gorse Hill Primary School (GHOSH) and St. Hilda’s Primary School (BOSH4). Our clubs are staffed by qualified (NVQ level 2&3), experienced and enthusiastic Play Workers (including a Play Manager for each scheme) and have all been judged ‘good’ by OFSTED within the last 2 years.
Our ethos and aims have not changed since we the organization was founded – to provide high quality, affordable childcare in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are committed to fair-trade and ethical business practices with an emphasis on promoting safe, happy, stimulating and inclusive environments for our children and staff.
BOSH provides a BREAKFAST CLUB (from 7.45am to 9.00am) and an AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB (from 3.30pm to 6.00pm). We offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities to the children (aged 3 -11) including: painting, arts and crafts, knitting and sewing, circus skills, football, rounders, baking, den-building, computer games and free-play.
In other words, there are plenty of opportunities for the children to relax and have fun in both noisy and quiet ways. We also provide breakfast in the morning, snacks in the afternoon (healthy, organic food – fruit, sandwiches, etc.) and drinks (at no extra charges).
We are also able to provide extended holiday care through HOLIDAY CLUBS. We currently run holiday clubs at West Didsbury & Chorlton Football Club (50m from Brookburn School, off Brookburn Road in Chorlton) for all 6 weeks of the summer holidays – as well as covering teacher training days, polling days and school holidays throughout the year. This offers a unique setting within the Chorlton Ees natural conservation area… it boasts a full-sized football pitch which allows our team of Play Workers to encourage healthy outdoor pursuits!!
